About the Journal

The Philosophical Society “Theoria” was founded in 2002 in Sarajevo, emerging as a scholarly and cultural initiative dedicated to fostering philosophical inquiry and interdisciplinary dialogue within Bosnia and Herzegovina and the broader intellectual community.

From its inception, the Society has been committed to the promotion, cultivation, and critical development of philosophical thought, as well as to strengthening awareness of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a distinctive cultural and intellectual space shaped by a rich and complex historical heritage.

Its activities are grounded in research, interpretation, and dissemination of knowledge across the social, humanistic, and spiritual sciences. Particular attention is given to fields such as philosophy, linguistics, literature, cultural studies, art theory, and intellectual history, with an emphasis on dialogue between traditions and contemporary theoretical approaches.

Through its publications, scholarly engagements, and collaborative initiatives, the Society “Theoria” aims to contribute to the advancement of critical thinking, academic exchange, and the broader understanding of cultural and philosophical phenomena in both regional and international contexts.
