Abstract

The paper deals with the relationship of philosophical heritage between the East and the West, that is, the relationship between Goatama Buddha and Friedrich Nietzsche. Their philosophical common thread is recognized in the questions of man's position in the world, his relationship to suffering, and his attitude toward life in general.
